Fountain Valley Physical Therapy
Therapeutic Pain Treatment
When it comes to treating pain, there are numerous options available, but many of these require surgery, medication, or injections. Pain is a complex issue, and you should not jump into an invasive treatment like surgery without considering the more conservative alternatives. Physical therapy is a longstanding, evidence-based practice that can help you find relief from headaches, neck pain, back pain, sports injuries, and more.
At Coast Physical Medicine, we are proud to offer a variety of physical therapies designed to stimulate your body’s natural healing mechanisms. Our team is highly experienced and will work closely with you to help you find the relief you’ve been looking for.

How Physical Therapy Works
Physical Therapy operates under the belief that hands-on spinal manipulation can improve blood flow, loosen tight muscles, and stimulate the healing process.
Conditions that can be treated with physical therapy include, but are not limited to:
- Shoulder Pain
- Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Non-Inflammatory Arthritis
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Your first appointment will begin with a thorough physical assessment. Our physical therapists will ask you questions about your medical history, symptoms, and how the pain has affected your life. This information will help them develop a treatment plan tailored for your unique needs.
How Often Will I Need Physical Therapy?
The average patient will most likely need physical therapy between 1 and 3 times a week. The exact frequency will depend on the complexity and general nature of the condition as well as the amount of progress that is made over time. The team at Coast Physical Medicine will work with you to find the necessary physical therapy plan to meet your specific needs.
While one session of care can provide some pain relief, it usually takes several appointments for patients to get the full effects. Patients who receive care for 12 weeks or longer usually experience the best results. These patients have improvement that is as effective or better than traditional prescription medications.
